I am a part of Art militia founded by Jens Stegger Ledaal and here is a clip from the summer exhibition to Jutulhogget/ Øvre Rendalen filmed by the talented Marius Matzow Gulbrandsen.
Kvitkrull (Cladonia stellaris) is a species of lichen that forms continuous mats over large areas of the ground in boreal and arctic regions around the circumpolar north. The species is a preferred food source of reindeer and caribou during the winter months, and it has an important role in regulating nutrient cycling and soil microbiological communities. Like many other lichens, Cladonia stellaris is used by humans directly for its chemical properties, as many of the secondary metabolites are antimicrobial, but it also has the unique distinction of being harvested and sold as 'fake trees' for model train displays.
Jutulhogget (the Jutul chop) is a 2.4 kilometres long canyon in the district of Hedmark, Norway, created by the rupture of the dam of a proglacial lake around 9000 years ago. According to folklore, ice had nothing to do with it - it was caused by the axe of a giant, a Jutul, who swung his axe in a heated argument with the Jutul from the neighbouring valley.
Ps: The mirror sculpture in the nature is made by me.
The pictures are taken by me.
